Highlights from Challenge #245 Let It Snow

Hi, everyone! Janis here from Pause Dream Enjoy. We loved seeing all of your SNOWY projects! Oh my gosh. You guys ROCKED it! I live in Alaska, and it's been snowing off and on. Of course when it does snow, it's so cold that it just stays and piles up with each new time it snows until we have our spring melt. It's so pretty. But I'm getting off course here. Want to see some SNOWY projects that really jumped out at me this last challenge? Here you go!

Click on their name and blog name to see more details about their projects. I'm sure they would love it if you became a FOLLOWER of their blog too!

Thank you all so much for joining us in our Let It Snow challenge. I wish I could highlight everyone's entry. It was so hard to narrow it down! We will be back in January 2017 with a new challenge. Some of the design team will be keeping their blogs active with creative projects and posts through the rest of the year. So if you need some inspiration, Visit the Design Team and check out what they are up to in their creative space. I'm sure they'd love you to become a FOLLOWER of their blog too.

Enjoy your Christmas! Big Hugs, everyone!

Challenge #244 - Layers

Hello! It's Amanda here with this week's challenge! In Canada it is getting mighty cold this time of year and I am all about the layers to keep warm! This week I want to see lots of layers on your project! There should be a minimum of five layers and at least two of them should not be paper! We can't wait to see what you create!

For mine I scrapped a photo of our silly dog trying to sit on our new ottoman. Where the photo is I layered 5 different papers, the photo itself and a button!

Take a look at what the design team came up with!

Maria Pilar
Layers and more layers to not get cold these days. Watercolor paper, burlap, ribbons and could not miss the stars thinking about Christmas. You can see more in the link.

Majo

I used texture paste, paper, a doily, a die cut piece, more paper, vellum and some wood veneer :)

I used texture with embossing powder and a lot of layers of paper to create dimension with die cuts. If you want to see the step by step tutorial of this project you can find it HERE.

Here's my Christmas card.

Renee

For today's challenge, I used a number of layers for the cover of my December daily album, including texture paste, ink blending, and multiple ephemera in my layered embellishment.

My 5 layers are: Acorn embellishment, stamped squirrel, stamped heart, stamped leaves on background, and ribbon.

#243 Make a Christmas card or scrapbook page

Happy Monday!  Beth here...bringing you a Christmas challenge! Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to trim the tree, wrap some gifts and start making Christmas cards, gifts or scrapbook pages!  Anything Christmas related will be great for this challenge.

I love making Christmas cards with the Stampin' Up! Star of Light stamp set.  Please see more details on my blog.

Made up some quickie mini albums using up some old stash.
They're great lil memory books for kids who took their own pictures!

I made a Christmas ornament.

Amanda

Found this card on Pinterest and had to make a couple right away!

I used my supplies to create some custom fun gift-wrapping this week!

This Christmas I have been so busy that my card making has suffered so I decided to recreate some of my favourite cards from years gone by. I love this Magnolia "Tilda" stamp!

I hope you can play along this week and add your link below.

Challenge #242 - Show us your *Chippie*!

Hi there! It's Majo here today to share with you a tag I created using an EyeConnect Crafts Chipboard heart.

I think what makes this heart so beautiful is the fact that it has holes already punched in it, so it's easy to lace it up with whatever twine or cord you choose.

This is what this weeks challenge is all about:

Chipboard

Use any kind on your layout, card, tag or ATC.

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Here is my little inspiration for you:

.... and a little close up from my "broken" heart ....

See all the beautiful creations from our Design Team:

I used a decorate chipboard piece between the
top and bottom pattern papers on the front of my card.

One of the Christmas chipboard ornaments I am preparing for my house colored with Versacolor and Distress inks. Then I applied transparent glitter

Amanda

My husband asked me last minute for a birthday card for a coworker so I grabbed some scraps and a piece of chipboard and a couple brads and this came together quickly! The chipboard is the blue frame - it was originally brown and I used some glimmer mist to change the colour.

I created a card thinking in love. I used a piece of natural chipboard that I painted with Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. All the details about my card are HERE.

Renee

For this challenged, I reached WAY back in my stash and used some Silhouette brand chipboard (designed to be used in a die cut machine) to create this Turkey clip for my planner spread.
