#103 - Bring on the Heat

Hello everyone and welcome to another week on the Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog.

This week, we are challenging you to pull out, and dust off your heat guns. It's time to get back to heat embossing. We want to see you emboss somewhere on your project.

On my layout I used by embossing powder and heat gun on the big letters in my title to make them stand out a little more.

Milena
I cheated a little on this challenge but I just couldn’t help myself. I’ve got this lovely card created by my super talent sister. All the images on the card are embossed and in her words “easy peasy, stamp with versa mark then embossing powder then heat and boom done!.”

What about you? What are you going to heat emboss? Make sure you come back here to share your project with us.

#102 - A Stitch in Time

Welcome to another week and another challenge here on the Use Your Stuff blog. We're so happy that you stopped in.

Before we get to the challenge this week, I just want to remind you that time is running out on our Creative Team call. We're excited with the applicants we've had so far, but there's still time to get yours in.

Check out all the information you need to know here: Creative Team Call

Now on to the challenge this week.

The challenge is all about stitching. Use either a machine, or hand stitch on your project somewhere. Don't forget to come back here when you're done and link up your project.

Let's see what our team came up with this week:

Barb
I decided to hand stitch a sun in the upper left corner of my layout.

Milena
I lifted this layout from one posted on the Scrapbook Nerd board but can't find the original thread. The original sketch had the journaling around the edge of the page but I stitched a border instead.

Lynne
I sewed over the route my daughter and I took to go from one Looff Carousel to another in Rhode Island.

Challenge #101 - Birthday

Welcome to the next UYS "century".  It is almost like the site is having a birthday! And since this 'birthday' corresponds with my youngest daughter's 21st birthday, your challenge is to do something with a birthday theme.  I bet you figured that out already.  Thanks for joining us as we move on to our next 100 challenges.

Milena
My youngest daughter turns 12 in a couple of weeks!! I had some photos waiting to be scrapped from her 10th birthday. It always feels good to get these pages done and into an album.

Barb
I have a card to share for this challenge. It's not often I do cards, but I did this one for a card swap.

Highlights - Challenge #100

Since we only had 2 challengers link up to their pages this week, I thought I would highlight them both.

I really liked how you dug into your photos and pulled out a photo from 1985. I think the photo was a great addition to your page.

I really enjoyed that you captured these things. Time goes by and we forget those little things so easily.

Great work ladies. Thanks for participating here at the Use Your Stuff Blog. Joy will be along shortly to post the winner of the Scrapbook Nerd gift certificate!!

Welcome to the Use Your Stuff's 100th Challenge!! Can you believe it?

We have a special give away for our 100th challenge too.
Use Your Stuff has a new blog sponsor - We are excited to welcome Scrapbook Nerd.com

You have a chance to win....

To be entered into the draw for the $20.00 gift certificate:
your project must be made for this challenge only.

This week I challenged the team to come up with a project using a list. I had this template by Studio DD that I've been meaning to use for some time. I used it to list 20 things that make me smile.

Lynne
I have done many list challenges so I did find it tough to come up with something new for this challenge.
But I did it.  My list is in my journaling of what I did this summer.
This sketch was a great way for me to use up some scraps and some of my huge stash of alphas.

Barb
How exciting that this is our 100th post! What a great give-away too. Thanks to Scrapbook Nerd for the very generous donation.

I don't do numbered lists very often. I don't know why because when I do, I love it. This one is all about me.
